Donna Joan (McGee) Muncy Obituary

Donna Joan (McGee) Muncy, known affectionately to her loved ones as Joanie, was born on July 18th, 1957, in Cincinnati, Ohio, and departed this life at the Saint Joseph Health hospital in London, Kentucky, on June 19th, 2024, being 66 years of age. She was the daughter of Dallas Norman McGee of Swindling Gap, Kentucky, and the late Mildred Fay (Burns) McGee. After growing up in Clermont County, Ohio, and graduating high school there, she soon after moved with her family to Jackson County, Kentucky, near where her parents were originally from. On April 7th, 1991, Joanie was united in matrimony to Porter Dale Muncy, and they eventually made their home near McKee, Kentucky. After dabbling in various other jobs, she ultimately settled into a career as an office manager at a number of different car dealerships until she finally retired from work.

In addition to her father and husband, Joanie was also survived by her sister, Janice (McGee) Ramsey and husband Jeff of Swindling Gap; the nephew she loved as a son, Douglas Dale Hacker and wife Jill of McKee; Dougy’s children, Cassidy “Cassie” Hacker and Logan Hacker, both of McKee; her step-children, Lisa (Muncy) Parrett and husband Jerry of McKee, Matthew “Matt” Muncy and wife Jennifer of Mildred, Kentucky; and William “Willie” Muncy and wife Tonya of Middlesboro, Kentucky; her other nephews, Joshua Douglas McGee of Dabolt, Kentucky, and Isaac James “Ike” Ramsey of Swindling Gap; her niece, Dr. Jenna Fay Ramsey, PharmD of Jackson County; her step-grandchildren, Ryan Parrett, Rylee Parrett, Destany Cox, Kara Hall, Kourtney Muncy, Khloe Muncy, and Bryson Muncy; as well as many other cherished friends and family.

Along with her mother, Joanie was also preceded in death by her brother, Douglas Norman “Doug” McGee, and her sister, Vivian Fay (McGee) Hacker.

Joanie was of the Christian faith, a member of Freedom Missionary Baptist Church located at Swindling Gap.
