Ruthie Faye Peters Obituary

Ruthie Faye Peters was born December 17, 1944, in Bond, KY and departed this life at her residence in Tyner, KY on Monday, August 21, 2023, at the age of 78. She was the daughter of the late Ollie Sams.

Ruthie is survived by her four children who loved her dearly: Jack Hale of Louisville, KY, Larry Peters of Tyner, KY, Garry Peters and wife Cathy of London, KY and Tina Marcum and husband Jonathan of Manchester, KY. She was blessed with seven grandchildren, Brandon Jackson and wife Leeanne, Whitney Jackson, Sarah Bowling and husband John, Jonathan Ryan Marcum, Mariah Marcum, Cameron Marcum and Danielle Marcum and also by six great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Bonnie Vaughn of Annville, KY and by one brother-in-law, Danny Hamilton and wife Marsha of Richmond, whom she loved as a sister. Also, by a very special person and caregiver, Tonya Evans.

In addition to her mother, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Paul; two brothers, Carl Sams of Orlando, Florida and Kennith Sams of Bond, KY.

Funeral services will be held 12 Noon Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Lakes Funeral Home with Jonathan Marcum and Wilburn Coffey conducting the service. Burial to follow in the Peters & Tincher Cemetery in Gray Hawk, KY. Pallbearers were Bradley Brock, John Bowling, Brandon Jackson, Lucas Jackson, Johnny Ray Peters and Jack Hale.
