JCHS Generals Trounce Trimble County in Season Opener
The JCHS Generals football team took to the road last Friday and trounced Trimble County in their season opener by a final score of 56-6. Coach Sizemore is looking to use momentum and break the program’s record of 6 wins in one season. Last year the team tied the record and they are off to a great start to match or improve on this accomplishment.
Coach Sizemore reported, “Friday night was a statement win for the Generals! We had several factors in Fridays win including 1 receiving TD by Senior Peyton Singleton, 2 rushing TDs by Junior Gauge Curtis, 2 rushing TDs from Sophomore Davon Seals, and 1 TD each for Junior Ashton Clemons and Freshman Gavin Nelasco. Defense played well only giving up one score. Axel Gomez was 7/7 in PATs (Points After Touchdown). We struggled getting going offensively in the first half but quickly started clicking in the second half. We believe that we will win games if we just play our game and play it well. We plan to keep it rolling as we go to Knott Co Friday night.”
A healthy Jackson County requires great community news.
