Rylee Turner
You may have recently noticed a new contributor to the Sports News in your hometown newspaper, the Jackson County Sun. As the school year was beginning JCHS Principal Brian Harris reached out to us and asked if we would be amenable to accepting contributions from a JCHS student. He recommended Rylee Turner and spoke very highly of her skills and character. At the Jackson County Sun we are always looking for ways to highlight and share with the community the amazing young students in our county and so we eagerly accepted. By way of introduction please find below the personalized bio of Ms. Rylee Turner, Jackson County Sun, Student Contributor.
"Hi, my name is Rylee Turner, I am a sixteen-year-old junior at Jackson County High School. Among many things, I am the daughter of Ermon and Amy Turner, as well as a proud Jackson County native.
Since elementary school I have often found myself with a pencil in hand, writing about the things I experience and see. My writing became more of a lifestyle than a hobby back in 2020 when I began writing letters nearly every day to the people that I hold the closest to my heart, people that I love dearly; now writing is part of who I am.
I have recently picked up a few trades to coincide with my literary passions. You can frequently find me behind my camera, photographing anything, anyone, and anywhere. I am also an officer of the Jackson County FBLA chapter, in which I hold the Reporter's seat.
Ultimately, it is my life's ambition to piece together a book with all the letters, poems, and personal works I have written over the years. It would be a dream come true to be an award-winning author someday. Who knows? There could even be a novel or two in my future; only time will tell. But it is for certain that I see myself right back atop Education Mountain teaching tomorrow's youth." - Rylee Turner
