Morton Sexton Obituary

Morton Sexton was born on July 7, 1937 in Bond, KY. He departed this life on October 13, 2024 at St. Joseph Main Hospital in Lexington, KY, being 87 years old. He was the son of Stanley and Mayme (Hignite) Sexton.
Morton is survived by his sister Lois Andrews of Anniston, AL, his niece Robin (Dom) Acciardo of Richmond, nephew Don Andrews of Anniston, AL, nephew David (Barbaralin) Andrews of Panama City, FL. Great nephews Dominic Acciardo, Clay and Jeremy Andrews and great nieces Saralin and Hanna Andrews and members of Deloris’ family.
In addition to his parents, Morton is proceeded in death by his wife of 58 years, Deloris (Chappell) Sexton, his brother Horace Sexton, sister in law Alice Sexton, his sister Joyce Sexton, niece Donna Andrews and members of Deloris’ family.
Morton was an Army Veteran and served his county until he suffered a stroke that forced a disability retirement.
Morton was a member of Faith Baptist Church.
Morton was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved the outdoors and was in the Beagle Club Hall of Fame, in addition to receiving numerous hunting and horse show awards.
Funeral services will be October 20th at 2:30 at Lakes Funeral Home with Brother Danny Smith and Brother Kip Wells officiating. Entombment will be at the Annville Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Dom Acciardo, Dominic Acciardo, Kyle Thorpe, Jimmy K Wells, Kolby Wells and Jerry House
Honorary pallbearers: Morton’s dear friends who were also his fishing, hunting and horse-riding buddies.
