Raymond Parrett was born January 31, 1943 in Parrot, Jackson County, Kentucky and departed this life to go home with the Lord on October 13, 2024 at his residence being 81 years of age. He was the son of the late George and Alma (Smith) Parrett. Raymond is survived by one son, Jerry Lee Parrett and wife Lisa (Muncy) Parrett, by one daughter JoAnn Parrett and Bert Murray. Raymond was blessed with two grandchildren Ryan and Rylee Parrett, and a host of friends and family, cousins, nephews and nieces to mourn his passing. In addition to his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by his wife, Helen (Robinson) Parrett and by his siblings; Russell Parrett, Edward Parrett, Ernes Parrett, Elva Holbrook and Ida Atchley.

Raymond was the perfect example of what a person should be, he would help anyone in time of need whether he knew them or not. He said you can always learn something from everyone, help where you can, when you can and do not look down on anybody. He set an example for others, was a hard worker, trusted in the Lord, and truly loved everyone. He will be deeply missed.

Funeral Services for Mr. Raymond Parrett will be held at 2 P.M. Wednesday October 16, 2024 at the Lakes Funeral Home with Bro. Shane Gabbard officiating. Burial will follow in the Seven Pines Cemetery. A visitation will begin at 12 Noon at the Lakes Funeral Home in McKee. Pallbearers include: Roger Parrett, Jeff Huff, Keith Bowling, Tim Farmer, Wendell Gabbard, Jeff Scalf, Bobby Hornsby and James Angel.
