Coming into the game, the Generals' Varsity was three for three in an undefeated streak for the season. Going into the game, the boys knew that they would have to give it their all on the court, and they did. While the outcome was not as hoped, the boys fought until the final buzzer rang. Shortly after the game came to a close, Braxton Clemons, senior, who set an unofficial school record in steals during the game (8), was asked what changed during the last half of the game after nearly being tied at half time. This is what he had to say, "We just got winded, we've got to get in better shape and go on - keep getting better and better." He was also asked how he thought the team would recover from this loss and come back stronger in their next game, to this he responded, "Just get in the weight room tomorrow, recover our bodies, and get ready to fight on Friday night. We've got a good Whitley County team coming up."
The away game on December 13th proved to be a fight for the Generals. While the Varsity boys battled, the Generals fell down 10 in the first quarter and never could overcome the deficit. The game ended in a 59-75 win for Whitley County, leaving the Generals to 3-2.
