Oscar Taylor McQueen Obituary

Oscar Taylor McQueen passed away Thursday, January 16, 2025, in Lexington, Kentucky, being 86 years old. He was born on December 31, 1938, in Clay County, Kentucky to the late Taylor and Martha (Dunn) McQueen.

He is survived by his children, Oscar (Meranda) McQueen II, Jennifer (Jake) Isaacs both of McKee, and Julie (Michael) Metcalf of Tyner, Kentucky. Oscar was blessed with seven grandchildren, Hunter (Emily) Isaacs, Ethan (Rhiannon) Isaacs, Seth Isaacs and MaKayla, Andy Taylor McQueen, Ben McQueen, Ryan Adkins, Megan Adkins and JR. As well as one great grandchild, Haven Isaacs. Oscar is survived by three brothers, AJ (Lenora) McQueen, Danny Glenn McQueen both of Norwood, Ohio and Stevie McQueen of Foster, KY.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Imogene (Morris) and infant daughter, Brenda Kay McQueen. Oscar was also preceded in death by the following siblings, Levi McQueen, Georgetta Robinson, Rosetta Edwards, Gail Davidson, and Fannie Retha McQueen.

Oscar was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.

Funeral Services for Oscar will be held on Monday, January 20, 2025, at 1 P.M. at the Lakes Funeral Home with Bro. Hunter Issacs and Bro. Eddie Judd officiating. Burial will follow in the Sandlin Cemetery. A visitation will begin at 6 P.M. on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at the Lakes Funeral Home. Pallbearers include Hunter Isaacs, Ethan Isaacs, Seth Isaacs, Andy McQueen, Ben McQueen, Ryan Adkins and JR. Huff.
