Judy C. Williams Obituary

Judy C. Williams was born on March 7, 1946, and departed this life on Monday, September 11, 2023, at the Irvine Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was 77 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Denver & Gertrude Cunagin.

Judy was united in marriage on June 6, 1964, and is survived by her husband of 59 years, Ralph Don Williams and by four children, Donna Carole Williams, Tami Williams Johnson (Tony), Barry Ralph Williams (P.J.) and Brett Denver Williams (Veola).

She is also survived by two sisters, Deanna Morris (Bobby) and Janet Cunagin (Jimmy Ray) and by a host of nieces and nephews.

Judy was blessed with ten grandchildren: Justin, Taylor (Austin), Jordan, Tanner (Hannah) Jasmine, Matthew, Tara, Isabela, Bradon and Ilana and two great grandchildren, Bentley Young and Cora James Smith.

Judy attended Fugazzi Business School and worked as a medical secretary at the University of Kentucky Hospital when it first opened. She was very fond of Lexington. She was also the co-owner of C & W Cable, Inc and was a member of the Bond Baptist Church. She was blessed with a long-time employee, Carolyn Garland, who became a lifetime support and confidante for Judy and her children. Judy loved Carolyn very much.

Burial was at House/Carpenter/Williams Cemetery at Peoples, KY. Per Judy’s request, there was a graveside service for the family on Friday, September 15, 2023, with Bro. Roger Williams officiating. Lakes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. www.lakesfuneralhomemckee.com
