JCHS Bass Fishing Team Delivers Two Top 15 Finishers

 The JCHS Bass Fishing team competed this past weekend at the Student Angler Federation (SAF) at Laurel Lake. The JCHS team had 5 boats in the competition. At the end of the tournament, JCHS had 2 top 15 finishers out of over 60 high school boats! 

Serenity Bingham and Lillie Davidson placed 8th overall with a weight of 5.66 pounds while Jacob Gray and Thomas Powell finished 14th with a weight of 3.48 pounds. 

Other team members competing were Caden Ayers and Natalie Sandlin, Jayden Etherton, and Aiden Thompson, and Dustin Farmer. Great job by all. 

The Student Angler Federation (SAF) has a team trail at Laurel River Lake in Kentucky. The Kentucky Bass Federation manages the SAF Team Trail. Teams pay an entry fee to participate in scheduled events. Teams can compete for points at the SAF KY HSSC. 

The next tournament will be Saturday, March 22, in the SAF state tournament on Lake Cumberland.
