JCHS Indoor Track and Field Compete at State Championship

 The KHSAA Indoor Track & Field Championships were held on March 4-6, 2025 at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center, Louisville. Coach Rader and the JCHS team competed at the highest level in the Class 1A category. 

Isabelle Shearer and Layla Anderson competed in the Girls' 3200-meter race. Isabelle Shearer is your state runner-up in the 3200m with a time of 11:50.82! 

The Girls' and Boys' 4x800m teams took the state podium with 8th place finishes! 

The Girls' team was comprised of Isabelle Shearer, Makynna King, Layla Anderson, and Brooklyn Hammonds. 

The Boys' team included Merrick Rader, Jake Collett, Malachi Shannon, and Jaden Agee. 

Merrick Rader competed in the Boys' 1600-meter race. Makynna King competed in the Girls' 1600-meter race. Brooklyn Hammonds ran in the Girls' 800-meter race while Jake Collett competed in the Boys' 800-meter run. Malachi Shannon competed in the Boys' 3200-meter race. 
Jake Collett, Avery Stewart, Braxton Hoskins, and Brody Isaacs competed in the Boys' 4X400 meter race. 

These young student-athletes represented themselves, their school, their teammates, their classmates, and their community with excellent performance! Congratulations!
