On Tuesday, March 25th, the Jackson County Generals traveled to Middlesboro High School to compete in the first round of the "All-A" Classic. The team picked up a convincing
victory beating the Yellowjackets by a score of 20-0 in 4 innings. Ashton Clemons was the starting pitcher for the team picking up the win while striking out 5 in 2 innings. Davon Seals
followed Ashton, delivering 2 innings of relief while striking out two. The Generals were led on offense by Luke Elam and Davon Seals who each picked up two hits.

On Wednesday, March 26th, the Generals competed in round II of the tournament against Harlan Independent. The team hosted the Green Dragons and won by a score of 11-1 in 6 innings. On the bump for the Generals picking up the win was Cayden Farmer. Cayden pitched a complete game allowing only 3 hits and 1 earned run, while striking out 14. On offense the Generals were paced by Ashton Clemons, Davon Seals, Michael Sparks, and Luke Elam who all picked up 2 hits each in the win.

The following day, the team traveled to Barbourville to face the Tigers in the "All-A" Championship game. Elijah Thomas started the game on the mound and delivered 6.1 innings while giving up 4 hits and only 1 earned run while striking out 10. Davon Seals would enter in relief and recorded the final two outs to help secure the 12-5 victory. On offense the team was paced by Braxton Clemons who had two hits and 1 hit each from Ashton Clemons, Cayden Farmer, Michael Sparks, and Davon Seals.

Winning the "All-A" Regional Tournament was something that had only been done one other time in the school's history. Three of the seniors from this group were also part of the first squad to ever do it (Braxton Clemons, Cayden Farmer, and Tydus Summers).

Coming off of the run through the regional tournament, the team traveled to face a tough Leslie County team. Ashton Clemons started on the mound and delivered 6 dominant innings allowing only 3 hits while striking out nine in route to picking up his second win of the week winning 4-0. Davon Seals came on in relief to record the final three outs. On offense, the team was led by Michael Sparks who recorded 3 hits and Elijah Thomas who recorded two hits as well.

The Generals are now on an 8 game winning streak and have a record of 8-2 as they travel to Fort Walton Beach to compete in the Fort Walton Beach Bash. This past week the
the team was able to accomplish 1 of the 4 major goals we had set forth for ourselves entering the season. As the team pushes forward, we have the other 3 in sight!

Go Generals!
