Slide Repair Operations Begin Tuesday, April 15 on a Section of KY 89 in Jackson County

MANCHESTER, Ky. (April 14, 2025) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists that a section of KY 89 in Jackson County between the Rockcastle and Jackson County line (mile point 0.0), and intersection with KY 2002 (mile point 5.681), will be closed to through traffic starting on Tuesday, April 15 and is expected to end on Friday, April 18.
The slide repair will take place at mile point 3.63.
The road closure will begin at 8 a.m. and end at 6 p.m. each day. The road closure is needed for slide repair operations.
KYTC asks motorists to be aware of the work zone, expect significant delays, and to utilize safe driving habits when traveling through the area.
The date, time, and duration of work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur.
