JCHS Lady Generals Play for 13[th] Region All "A" Championship
04/16/25 Update: The Lady Generals Win 13th Region All "A" Championship!
The Jackson County Lady Generals are off to a powerful start in the 13th Region All "A" tournament, notching back-to-back wins to punch their ticket to the championship game.
The Lady Generals opened tournament play on Sunday, April 13th, with a solid 6-3 victory over Middlesboro. Blakelynn Fee, Kylie Moore, and Candice Williams led the offense with two hits each, while Baylee Berry and Sadie Seals added a hit apiece. Williams also got the job done in the circle, striking out 10 batters and earning the win.
On Monday, April 14th, the Lady Generals made quick work of Barbourville with a dominant 17-0 win in just three innings. Fee and Moore stayed hot at the plate, joined by Ella Sallee, as each collected two hits. Berry, Lexi Brockman, Macy Wathen, and Williams added one hit each to cap off the offensive onslaught.
Williams continued her strong tournament performance on the mound, allowing no runs and striking out seven in the shutout victory.
With two impressive wins under their belts, the Lady Generals now set their sights on the 13th Region All "A" championship game, where they will face Harlan on Tuesday, April 15th.
