Denver Ray Isaacs Obituary

Denver Ray Isaacs, 86, of Berea, Kentucky was born May 6, 1938, in Gray Hawk, KY to the late Farris & Sallye (Farmer) Isaacs. Denver departed this life on Thursday, April 24, 2025.
Denver as preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Margaret (Barry) Isaacs. He was also preceded in death, by their youngest son, Timothy Ray Isaacs, as well as three brothers, Dale of McKee, KY, Clifton of Connersville, IN and Lawrence of Lockland, OH and by two sisters and a brother in early childhood.
Denver is survived by three children: Robert Isaacs of Lexington, KY, Theresa Salvaterra (Neil) of Winchester, KY and Stephen Isaacs (Jenny) of Richmond, KY. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren and a special family friend Renita Blanton.
He attended school in McKee, KY, before dropping out to join the Army in 1954, serving 9 years. He continued his education while in the military and received his high school diploma from Jackson County High School.
He was employed by the U.S. Postal Service from 1965 until his retirement in 1992.
Denver was a member of the Silver Creek Baptist Church in Berea, KY He loved his God, his church and his family.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Lakes Funeral Home, in McKee, KY, with Reverend Neil Salvaterra officiating. Pallbearers: Steven B. Isaacs, Steven Ray Isaacs, Raymond Rose, Robert Dale Isaacs, Bernard Benningfield. Burial will follow in the New Zion Cemetery. Military services will be conducted by the local Jack Welch Chapter #165. Lakes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. www.lakesfuneralhomemckee.com
