Carl Rose Obituary

Carl Rose was born on February 22, 1944, in Jackson County, Kentucky and departed this life on Monday, May 5, 2025, at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, he was 81 years old. He is the son of the late Delbert and Myrtle (Murphy) Rose.

Carl is survived by his children, Ricky Rose of McKee, Greg (Penny) Rose of Sand Gap and Sonya Smith of Sulphur, Louisiana. He was blessed with 4 grandchildren, Cameron Rose, Kaleb Smith, Cody Bowles and Tabitha Williams and one great grandchild, Tucker Rose. He is also survived by one sister Mildred Moore of Chestnut Flat and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents Carl is preceded in death by his siblings, Virgil Rose, Vester Rose, Lloyd Rose, Alpha Turner, Annette Turner, Evelyn Marcum, Mable Turner, Eileen Harrison, Geraldine Isaacs and Margaret Spivey.

Carl was a member of the Deer Stable Baptist Church. 

Funeral Services for Carl will be held at 2 P.M. on Thursday May 8, 2025, at the Deer Stable Baptist Church with Bro. John Isaacs and Bro. Greg Rose presiding. Burial will follow in the Murphy Cemetery in Chestnut Flat. A visitation will begin at 12 Noon on Thursday at the Deer Stable Baptist Church. Pallbearers include Jerry Goforth, Larry Roberts, Earl Turner, Chuck Harrison, Garvin Baker, Darrell Harrison, Kaleb Smith and Cameron Rose.
