Family members are still searching for 17-year-old Lilly Abner. Abner went missing on Feb. 18 on Warren Street in Covington.
Her cousin, Ciara Carter, told FOX19 NOW that she plans to set up a search party on Friday.
“She could really be hurt, and how would we know unless we keep doing what we need to do to get answers?” she said. “We need answers.”
Carter said in February she searched the area where Abner was last seen and found nothing except for a small amount of what she believed to be blood.
She said that they went from talking daily to complete silence overnight.
“Every night, every morning, I’m quick to be on my phone, [and I see] nothing,” she said.
Carter explained that she believes it’s possible Abner ran away, but it’s impossible to know what happened without any confirmation.
She pleaded with Abner to come home, and she pleaded with anyone who knows something about her disappearance to come forward.
Carter said she’ll continue to search for her.
“I can’t stop,” she said. “Every day I wake up thinking about her, every night I go to sleep crying about her. I can’t keep feeling this way until I know she’s okay.”
She said she’ll be organizing a search party for Lilly on Friday at the Covington Police Department.
Lilly was last seen with black hair, but her hair is naturally red. She was wearing a grey t-shirt and grey leggings with a black puffer coat when she was last seen.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Covington Police Department. ((859) 292-2222)
