Man found Guilty and Sentenced To 12 Years In Rockcastle Circuit Court

MOUNT VERNON, Ky. – On July 9, 2025, following a yearlong investigation by Troopers and Detectives with the Kentucky State Police, Freddie D. Denny, 55, of Mt. Vernon, was found guilty in Rockcastle Circuit Court on multiple drug trafficking charges. Denny was sentenced to 12 years in prison, with final sentencing scheduled for August 8, 2025.
The investigation, which began in early 2024, led to the following verdicts:

Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Fentanyl): Not Guilty

Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Methamphetamine): Guilty – Enhanced 2nd Offense – 5 Years

Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree: Guilty – 1st Offense – 7 Years

Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree: Guilty – 1st Offense – 7 Years
The court ordered the five-year and seven-year sentences to run concurrently within their respective categories, and consecutively between them, resulting in a total of 12 years incarceration.
