Chester Jones Obituary

Chester Jones was born in Jackson County, Kentucky on August 16, 1954, and departed this life on Monday, June 30, 2025, at the Select Specialty Hospital in Danville. He is the son of the late Steve and Lillian (Harrison) Jones.

He is survived by his children, Preston Lambert of Richmond, Felicia Riddell of Sand Gap and Holly Shinevarre of London. His grandchildren, Lexi Mays, Devan Mays, Chase Riddell and Isaiah Shinevarre. His siblings, Tee Jones, Velva Turner and Sharon Fox all of Sand Gap. As well as a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents Chester is preceded in death by his son B.J. Jones and the following siblings, Kenny Harrison, Harold Jones, Lola Mae Kerby and Emma Jean Sweeney.

Chester is a member of Dry Fork Holliness Church.

Funeral Services for Chester will be held on Monday July 7, 2025, at 1 P.M. at the Lakes Funeral Home with Bro. Brian Gabbard officiating. Burial will follow at the Harrison Cemetery located on Lower Dry Fork. Pallbearers include Preston Lambert, Scottie Johnson, Jake Powell, Jerry Powell, Robbie Jones, and Harold Tee Jones.
