Hundreds could soon be out of a job in central Kentucky.
In a letter to employees, Pearl Interactive has announced it will permanently close its Winchester facility after losing a major federal contract.
The company was recently notified that its contract to support the Contact Center Operations Program for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services was not renewed.
As a result, Pearl will cease operations at its site on Bypass Road in Winchester, with employment terminations expected to begin on or around September 10.
