Missing Cub Run juvenile at center of emergency alert found dead

A child who went missing Tuesday morning in Hart County has been found deceased, according to Kentucky State Police.
In a press release shared around 9:20 a.m., KSP confirmed that Silas Chearer, 5, of Cub Run was found deceased.
An IAN alert rang out from cellphones around 8:35 a.m. after Silas had wandered away from his home.
KSP initially reported that Silas was autistic and was in possible danger.
Anyone who spotted Silas or had information was urged to contact 911.
Around 9:08 a.m. Tuesday, an additional alert stating Silas had been located was issued. KSP later clarified in a news release that he was found deceased.
“KSP grieves with this family and the community,” the release said.
The agency said they are unable to provide any additional information at this time.
