New JCHS Head Football Coach Meets & Greets Parents & Players

The Jackson County High School announced on July 09[th], 2025 that Coach Bo Callebs had been named the new Head Football Coach for the JCHS Generals. This follows the surprise resignation of Coach Jody Mouser. Coach Mouser was hired in March 2025 and unexpectedly left without overseeing a single practice or coaching a single game.
The day after his official hiring, Coach Callebs made himself available at the JCHS Library to meet players and parents and introduce himself.
Coach Callebs brings an incredible resume to the table as the new Generals Head Coach! Coach Callebs has over 30 years of coaching experience.
He has coached at some of the premier programs in the state. Coach Callebs coached for 12 years at Bell County, 5 years at Lynn Camp, and 5 years at Pineville. He has served as Head Coach for Cawood High School. He has coached teams that have won two (2) KHSAA State Championships, along with teams that have won eight (8) Regional Championships (7 with Bell County & 1 with Lynn Camp).
Coach Callebs reported that his goal this year is to win every single game, win the District, and host a Home Playoff game. "To win, you have to set that as your goal," Coach Callebs said. He said he plans for his team to run the ball a lot, but also use low-risk passing as an integral part of the offense.
Coach Callebs has three children (two boys and one girl - all in their 20s) and emphasized that his Christian faith is incredibly important to him.
Coach Callebs is scrambling to make the best use of the time remaining before the 2025 season begins. The team is currently practicing.
Welcome to Jackson County, Coach Callebs! We look forward to watching you and the Generals succeed and grow into a premier program!
