by Ashley Whitehead Judd

Flatwoods, KY - The Jackson County 12U Little League Fastpitch All-Stars wrapped up their stellar season with a remarkable finish as Kentucky State Runner-Up at the 2025 Kentucky Little League State Tournament held in Flatwoods, KY.

The team battled their way through the state's toughest competition, showcasing talent, teamwork, and determination every step of the way.

The All-Stars entered the state tournament fresh off a dominant performance in the District 4 Tournament, where they outscored opponents by a staggering 67-1 margin. That momentum carried into state play, where Jackson County defeated Bluegrass Fastpitch, Carter County, and the reigning state champions, Marion County, in a series of thrilling matchups.

In the championship game, the team faced a formidable Daviess County squad. Though the Jackson County All-Stars ultimately fell short, their journey to the final game solidified their legacy as one of the most decorated Little League teams in county history.

This year's state runner-up finish adds to an already impressive résumé.

Over the past four seasons, this group has secured four consecutive district titles, two state championships (2022 and 2023), and back-to-back runner-up finishes in 2024 and 2025.

As this chapter closes on their Little League careers, the Jackson County 12U Fastpitch All-Stars leave behind a legacy of excellence, pride, and inspiration for future players.

Their hard work and success will be remembered for years to come.

The future for Jackson County softball is bright!
