Shootin' It Straight - It's Alright to Be Itty Bitty (FREE ACCESS)

Those blinded by party loyalty in politics all to often forget to view things with an objective lens. Currently, many of the left are defending Biden's mental state in the latter stages of his presidency because to admit fault is showing they knew he was a puppet. I prefer to stick to a set of core values despite who falls outside that template. The Big Beautiful Bill jammed through by the uni-party and signed into existence by Trump is one example we clearly got wrong. It flies in the face of cutting spending that we must reel in as a nation, despite whose name is plastered at the top. It wasn't read through and directed as it should have been. It's high time we start shaving the national debt at a rapid pace.
The primary way to save money in any situation is to cut outgoing expenses. On a household scale none of us would argue that spending more than comes in is failure waiting in the wings. It might be painful, but we'd dial back on luxuries, we'd cut a cellphone bill, we'd cancel a few streaming services, mow the lawn ourselves, or cancel the elaborate meals for a few bologna nights. The very founding of the nation was based on a small limited government that wholly supported individuals primarily governing themselves. That meant the freedom to climb as high as one dared but understanding the lack of safety nets beneath. Government was never meant to be the behemoth it has become. Every aspect of daily life has the fingerprints of big government on it and all piggybacked on our hard-earned tax dollars. Small, tight, and efficient government fixtures should be the goal from the county level to the national stage. We've gotten so far adrift from that we casually accept the lies we're fed. The amount of funding wasted on programs, pet projects, and fluff that does nothing to move our nation forward is staggering.
The founding ideals of our nation were for government to handle the duties that individuals could not handle on their own. Other than national security, interstate commerce, and money, the government was viewed as a threat. Our founders had fled England and a government that would be considered mild by today's standards. Of course, the raw wound of that former tyrannical rule would factor into any decisions made about a new ruling party. Even so, they had the foresight to understand where government would go unchecked. We are there. Spending, daily intrusions, and much else must be reigned in, or party affiliation won't be of concern soon. It's Alan Jackson note note-taking time, make it "Itty bitty".
