Henry Eugene Maupin Obituary

Henry Eugene Maupin, better known as Gene, was born January 12, 1943, in Jackson County and departed this life Monday, July 21, 2025, at the St. Joseph Hospital in Berea, at the age of 82. He was the son of the late Robert Greene Maupin and Mable (Callahan) Maupin.

Gene is survived by three children, Donna Jean Harris (Scott Rowe) of South Carolina, Beverly A. Shouse and Joshua Maupin both of Stanford. He is survived by three grandchildren, Brandon Elam, Timothy J. Shouse and Tasha Maupin. Other survivors include his siblings, Jennings Maupin of Brodhead, Opal Groce and Geneva Rose Burton both of Indiana, Hershel Maupin, Willa Mae Brockman, and Raleigh Maupin all of Sand Gap and by the mother of his children, Anna Lou Maupin Roberts.

In addition to his parents, Gene was also preceded in death by a son, Ricky Eugene Maupin; by two sister, Eva Lakes and Marlene Maupin and by three brothers, Danny Maupin, Ronnie Maupin and George Maupin.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, July 25, 2025, at Lakes Funeral Home with Bro. Gerald Maupin and Bro. Wayne Carpenter officiating. Burial to follow in the Maupin Cemetery. Lakes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. www.lakesfuneralhomemckee.com
