Alvin Eugene Callahan Obituary

Alvin Eugene Callahan, age 87, passed away Saturday, October 7, 2023 at his home in McKee. He is survived by eight children: Kay Redelman, Greg Callahan, Mike (Cassie) Callahan, Denny (Lisa) Callahan, Rick Callahan, Barb (Worm) Johnson, Joyce (Arnold Neeley) Bruce, and Alvin Callahan. He is also survived by the following brothers and sisters: Evelyn Begley, Estill Callahan, Raleigh Callahan, Freda Yarber and Naomi Gabbard; as well as by a wealth of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

Alvin is preceded in death by his wife, Anna Lee Callahan; by his parents, Jesse & Eliza Callahan; by two daughters-in-law, Pamela & Christine Callahan; and by the following brothers and sisters: Helen Banks, Marie Humphrey, Maudie Byrd, Dewey Callahan, Foyster Callahan, Robert Callahan, Frankie Callahan, Larry Callahan, Jerry Callahan and Jesse Callahan.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Thursday, October 12, 2023 at Lakes Funeral Home with Bro. Phillip “Worm” Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Cunigan & Sizemore Cemetery. Pallbearers: Denny Ray Callahan, Jamie Etherton, Michael Callahan, Ryan Callahan, Gregory Callahan, Collin Callahan, A.J. Callahan & Chad Bruce.
