Betty Ann (Parks) Hacker Obituary

Betty Ann (Parks) Hacker was born April 3, 1940, in Jackson County and departed this life Sunday, October 15, 2023 at the Landmark of Laurel Creek Nursing & Rehab in Manchester at the age of 83. She was the daughter of the late Dalmon & Sophia (Davidson) Parks.

Betty is survived by two children, Angela Hacker and Johnny Wayne (Melinda) Caudill all of Manchester. She was blessed with one grandchild, five great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren and by a special friend, April Smith, whom she loved like a daughter. She is also survived by a sister, Janice “Jackie” Tyler of Manchester and by two brothers, Dalmon Franklin Parks of Columbia and Carl Parks of Manchester.

In addition to her parents, Betty was also preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Hacker and by six siblings, Robert Junior Parks, Jordan Parks, Lawrence Dean Parks, Helena Johnson, Irene Hudson and Zeta Fields.

Betty was a member of the Freedom Missionary Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, October 19, 2023, at Lakes Funeral Home with Bro. Shawn Madden officiating. Burial to follow in the Moore & Fields Cemetery. Pallbearers were Cameron Robinson, Cody Spivey, Roger Parks, Kelsey Robinson, April Smith and Sonny Saylor. Lakes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
