Lola Mays Obituary

Lola Mays was born November 23, 1932 in Letcher County, KY and departed this life Friday, November 24, 2023 at her daughter’s residence, at the age of 91. She was the daughter of the late John & Daphae Brandenburg.

Lola is survived by three daughters, Debbie Golden of McKee, Mary (Keith) Rose of McKee and Jennifer (Gary) Martin of Berea. She was blessed with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Lola was also preceded in death by her husband, Bent Mays; by a daughter, Shanna Caton and an infant daughter, Linda Sue Mays and by eight sons, Ronnie Mays, Mark Mays, Burton Mays, David Mays, Johnny Mays, Mason Mays, Tommy Mays and Michael Mays.

Lola will be sadly missed.

Graveside services will be held1:00 PM Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at the Lola & Bent Mays Cemetery with Bro. Brian Gabbard officiating. Pallbearers: Cody, Brently, Randy, Keith, Denver, Ben, Nick, Gary Tyrel & Cameron. Lakes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. www.lakesfuneralhomemckee.com
