February 10, 2024

Anna B. Kidwell Sears, born on June 9th, 1932, in Rockcastle County, Kentucky, departed this life on January 31, 2024, at the age of 91, in Berea, Kentucky.

Ann's life was a testament to her unwavering faith and her deep-rooted love for her family. She leaves behind a legacy of love, embodied in her children, Ronnie (Susan) Sears, Donna (Dean) Cromer, Lisa (Steve) Otis, Steve Sears, and Carla (Kevin) Minor; her cherished grandchildren Steve, Chris, Amy, Kelly, Tracy, Justin, Johnna, Sydney, Lindsey, Kayla, and Josh; 33 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, three sisters-in-laws Bettye Sears Bales, Jean Sears, Jean Kidwell, special friends, Terry and Darla Puckett, along with many other friends and family. Ann was preceded in joining the Lord by her beloved husband, Rev. Carl Denton Sr, her dear son, Carl Jr, daughter-in-law Dianne, grandson Scott, her father and mother, Stephen and Martha (Wilmot) Kidwell, her brothers, Chester, Cleveland, Delbert, Raymond, William, Edgar, Everett, Elmer, and Ellis, and her sister Marie McKnight

Ann found joy in gardening, ministering for the Lord alongside her husband, and in her family especially preparing meals.

Music was an integral part of Ann’s life. While many of her family members sang and played instruments, Ann also played the guitar and wrote songs and poems. She even had multiple opportunities to be featured on local radio stations with her sister, Marie when she was young.

Above all, Ann was a living witness for the Lord. Her faith was as boundless as the sky, and through her actions and words, she shared the love of God with unyielding passion. Her testimony shone through her every deed, a guiding light leading the way to the path of righteousness and peace.

Nothing was more important to Ann than spreading the Gospel message of Jesus.
