Donald "Don" Cook Obituary

Donald “Don” Cook of McKee, Kentucky departed this life Tuesday, the 14th of May at the Baptist Health Hospital in Richmond, Kentucky, being 71 years of age.

He was born January 9th, 1953 in Berea, Kentucky to the late Benny and Hazel (Felty) Cook. Don was a faithful employee for 46 years at Hyster Yale. He was a member of the Big Hill Holiness Church.

Don is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Karen (Spivey) Cook of McKee; one son, Donnie (Crystal) Cook of McKee; one daughter, Tina (Justin) Hall of McKee; one brother, Edward Wayne (Laura) Cook of Richmond; and one sister Vera Jean (Ronnie) Gadd of Berea. He was blessed to be called “Old Papaw” by 3 grandchildren whom he was so proud of. Elijah Cook, and Ethan & Emilia Hall of McKee.

In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his brothers, Danny Glenn Cook and Omer David Cook and by a granddaughter Ellen Grace Hall.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, May 18, 2024 at the Pine Grove Cemetery with Bro. Ashley Noe conducting the service. Pallbearers will be Elijah Cook, Justin Hall, Jimmy Click, Marvin Rose, Russell Jackson & Tee Jones. Lakes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. www.lakesfuneralhomemckee.com
