Five Grandchildren of Melvin and Joyce Marks Graduate College
It has been a red letter spring for the Marks family of Jackson County. Five of the grandchildren of Melvin and Joyce Marks have graduated college this year and will be beginning their futures. Said Scarlett Marks, “Our family is super proud of these graduates and wish them nothing but the very best and all good things life has to offer.
Graduating this Spring are:
Joseph Marks II, son of Eddie and Scarlett Marks. Joseph graduated from Berea College with a BS in Agriculture and Natural Resources with a minor in Business Administration. He graduated Cum Laude.
Rachel Margison, daughter of Gloris Margison, graduated the University of Kentucky with a Doctorate (PHD) in Pharmacy.
Zackery Marks, son of John and Tammy Marks, Graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a BS in Construction Management and a minor in Business Administration.
Allsion Marks, daughter of STephen and Monica Mark graduated from EKU with a BS as a Registered Nurse .
Gracie Mrks, daughter of Pete and Sharyn Marks graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with a BA in Graphic Design
From a very young age each of these young people have been taught that hard work and dedication will get you to your end goal. Scarett Marks added, “Even though their PaPaw Melvin isn’t here to join in on the celebration, we know he is smiling down from Heaven, pushing them on and rejoicing at their accomplishments. Their grandmother, Joyce Marks has always been one of their biggest supporters, encouraging them, praying for them daily, and telling them to ‘offer it up.’
“These graduates are where they are today with the help of their amazing grandparents,” says Scarlett, “The showed them what hard work, dedication and the love for Jesus and others looks like. We all wish them the very best in life. May all their dreams and wishes come true.” All of the Marks family invite you to celebrate these young people.
Joyce and Melvin Marks have always played a major role in the Jackson County community. There lives have been and continue to be lives of service. We at the Jackson County Sun are proud to see your grandchildren doing well in life. Congratulations!
