Adventure Begins at the Jackson County Public Library

June 20, 2024

The Jackson County Public Library has lots of things planned to facilitate and enhance Summer Reading 2024. Free dance classes, Ice Skating to beat the heat, Interactive Whale Exhibits, Reading Challenge, Fishing Events, Lasertag, Blizzard Bar, Water Shows, Hook and Needles Fiber Arts, to just name a few!

This Thursday, as part of the Summer Reading Events, come join Storyteller/musician Paul Strickland for "Adventures in Folk Tales". The event starts at 6:00 PM. Picture this: flames dancing in the darkness, the scent of toasted marshmallows wafting through the air, and the soul-stirring strum of Paul Strickland's guitar setting the scene for an unforgettable journey.

Prepare to be transported as Paul shares with us tales as old as the hills, weaving together the rich tapestry of Kentucky and Ohio folktales into captivating stories that will ignite your imagination! But that's not all - get ready to sing your heart out as Paul leads us in rousing sing-along songs that echo with the spirit of the heartland.

All ages are encouraged to attend! To RSVP Call 606-287-8113, not required but appreciated.
