An Annville, KY man has been indicted nearly a year after he was arrested for allegedly taking a missing Pulaski County child to West Virginia.
On March 11, 2025, Michael Moon, 48, of Annville, was arrested and charged with custodial interference in connection with an investigation into reports of a child going missing from the East Brown Ridge area of Nancy, KY. He was indicted on March 06, 2026 for custodial interference, just under a calendar year after the initial arrest.
The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office posted on Facebook that Moon’s second initial arrest charge of “possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor older than age 12 but under age 18” had led to a federal indictment.
“Moon subsequently pled guilty in Federal Court on those charges, receiving a sentence of ten years’ imprisonment,” officials with the sheriff’s office said.
Moon was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center and held on a $25,000 cash bond.
