Arrest Made for Alleged False Emergency Report

Jackson County Sheriff Daniel Isaacs reported to the public that on Thursday July 30th, 2026 at approximately 12:55am Jackson County Deputy Sheriff Chris Baldwin arrested Tracy Adkins of McKee, KY.

The arrest occurred along Clemmons Lane approximately 8 miles north of McKee following a 911 dispatch of an unresponsive and possibly deceased male in a residence. According to Uniform Citation #FG82058, a female caller advised 911 Dispatch that a male in the residence was experiencing a severe medical emergency resembling near death.

The instance was described as the male complaining of severe abdominal pain with very little to no breathing and the male being unresponsive. Units with the Sheriff’s Office, Jackson County EMS, and the Sand Gap Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched for a response.

Deputy Baldwin arrived on scene and made a contact with all parties involved, including Adkins. Throughout this contact there was absolutely no emergency discerned by anyone on scene, and no danger to life.

Adkins was determined to be manifestly under the influence of a controlled substance in addition to being determined to be manifestly under the influence of alcohol following an investigation and was taken into custody for filing a false report.

Tracy Adkins was transported to and lodged in the Jackson County Detention Center on the charge of: False Report Which Generates An Emergency Response.
