Burley Rose of Sand Gap, Kentucky passed away at his home on July 26, 2025. He was surrounded by his family and went peacefully to meet his God.
Daddy was born on November 17, 1940 in Jackson County to Alvin Rose and Thelma (Isaacs) Rose. Daddy spent his entire life in Jackson County and LOVED “The Gap.”
In addition to his parents Daddy was preceded in death by his brother Kenneth Rose of McKee.
Daddy is survived by his wife of 62 years, Carol (Susie) Rose, his son Anthony (Dana) Rose of Richmond, his daughter Sherry (Kevin) Banks of Gray Hawk, granddaughter Felicia (Joe) Shalati of LaGrange, grandson Forrest Rose of Berea, sister Darlene (Dale) Payne of Clay City, sister Tina Rose of McKee and sister-in-law Reva Rose of McKee.
Daddy had many friends, but 4 special friends, Garvin Baker, Greg Rose, Josh Maggard and Shannon Hisel. We will forever be grateful for their friendship and kindness toward our daddy, Thank You isn’t enough.
We are going to miss daddy every day, but I know he’s found the coolest shade and has a fresh piece of cedar to whittle. Love you, Daddy.
Graveside services for Burley will be held at 11 A.M on Wednesday July 30, 2025 at the T.M. Lakes Cemetery with Bro. Greg Rose presiding.
