Carey E. “Cotton” Angel was born July 6, 1954, in Madison County, Kentucky and departed this life on Saturday October 12, 2024, at his residence being 70 years of age. He was the son of the late Ardery “Poodle” and Mable (Tillery) Angel.
Cotton is survived by his loving wife, Mary Frances (Lee) and two daughters; Carrie Angel of Tyner and Christie Angel of London. In addition to his wife and children he is also survived by three sisters; Diana (Jake) Hisel, Melody (Dennis) Whitehead of McKee and Cleo (David) Reed of Tyner. Cotton was blessed with many nieces and nephews; Kendall Lakes, Whitney (Tim) Harris, Judd (Jamie) Hisel, Landon Whitehead, Candice Nelson and David Reed JR as well as his great nieces; Hadley and Harper Harris, Ali-Beth and Raegan Hisel.
He loved trucking and spent over 30 years on the road. Deer hunting, fishing and Jeeping were some of his favorite past times, as well as watching NASCAR and his pets.
Funeral Services for Cotton will be held at 2 P.M. Tuesday October 15, 2024, at the Lakes Funeral Home with Brother David Reed officiating. Burial will follow at the Montgomery Lee Cemetery. A visitation will begin at 6 P.M. on Monday, October 13, 2024, at the Lakes Funeral Home in McKee. Lakes Funeral Home oversaw arrangements. www.lakesfuneralhomemckee.com
