Case Involving Man Allegedly Trying to Run Vehicle Off the Road with Side-by-Side Referred to Grand Jury

Posted

Solomon Durham, 21, of McKee, KY appeared before Judge Allen B. Roberts in District Court on Monday, September 29, 2025 for a preliminary hearing in Case #25-F-00101.

Durham was arrested on September 08, 2025 when law enforcement served complaint warrant #E05510005052802. JCSO Deputy Andrew Brewer obtained the arrest warrant on the day of the arrest. The complaint alleges that on August 30, 2025, just after midnight, Durham intentionally and wantonly pursued Victim Makayla Muncy and her three passengers in her vehicle on HWY 30 in Annville, KY, on his side-by-side at speeds between 80 to 85 mph. Allegedly, Durham would drive alongside Muncy’s vehicle and would swerve at her and her passengers, attempting to run her vehicle off the roadway.

Durham was arrested and charged with wanton endangerment, 1st degree (four counts), and reckless driving. Durham was released from custody at the Jackson County Detention Center under a $10,000 cash bond on September 09, 2025.

During the preliminary hearing, the court heard from Deputy Andrew Brewer and his presentation of the evidence that supported Durham’s arrest and the rationale for the alleged charges. Judge Roberts ruled that probable cause had been established for the charges of wanton endangerment, 1st degree.

The case was subsequently bound over to a grand jury for consideration and possible felony indictment. Durham was recognized to appear in Circuit Court on November 04, 2025 to answer any forthcoming indictment from the grand jury.

As in all cases at this stage of adjudication, the charges are allegations and the defendant is presumed innocent until provided due process and determined to be guilty by the court.
