“Circle on the Square” Brings Jackson County Musicians Together

Posted

Jason Bowman brought the idea of hosting a monthly open-music jam in Jackson County to life. With the support of Jackson County Tourism, the Musicians, Listeners, and Adam Ellerbrock, the event has been held monthly since August of 2025.

Bowman reported, “It is a safe, friendly event for everyone and musicians of all skill levels. Each musician takes a turn playing one song, then it continues around the circle.

With no big “I’s” or little “U’s”, everyone gets their chance to shine at Circle on the Square. The whole purpose and objective is to bring musicians and listeners alike in a safe environment to enjoy the music and each other’s company. Yes, you are invited and welcome at Circle on the Square!”

“Circle on the Square” is typically held on the first Saturday of every month at 6 p.m. on the Courthouse Square in McKee. However, during the colder months, the event may have to be rescheduled or held at another property.

Bowman reported, “We send out a special thank you to Kathy and Phillip Spurlock as well as Clover Bottom Bed & Breakfast for letting us hold the event at their properties during the winter months, allowing the event to continue to grow.

This is a FREE monthly event for everyone!
