Cleo Reed was born May 3, 1959, in Madison County and departed this life Saturday, August 16, 2025, at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington, at the age of 66. She was the daughter of the late Ardery “Poodle” Angel and Mabel (Tillery) Angel.
Cleo is survived by her loving husband, David Reed of Tyner and by her son, David (Mandy) Reed Jr. and son Shane of Henderson, N.C. Other survivors include her sisters, Diana (Jake) Hisel and Melody (Dennis) Whitehead all of Sand Gap; by her sister-in-law, Frances Angel and by the following nieces and nephews, Carrie Angel, Whitney Harris, Christie Angel, Latasha Reece, Whitney Estep, Austin Hacker, Lacy Grimes, Kendall Lakes and Judd Hisel.
In addition to her parents, Cleo was also preceded in death by her brother, Carey “Cotton” Angel.
Cleo was a member of the Ledger Road Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM Thursday, August 21, 2025 at Lakes Funeral Home with Bro. Harold Hays officiating. Burial followed in the Reynolds Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tim McQueen, Gearld Pierson, David Caldwell, Rylan Northan, David Reed Jr. and Shane Tillotson. Honorary pallbearers will be Russell Hisel, Dennis Whitehead, Kendall Lakes, Judd Hisel, Tim Harris and all the men at Ledger Rd Baptist Church.
