Bradley Douglas Wells, 37, of Corbin, KY appeared before Judge Henria Bailey-Lewis in District Court on Monday, December 29, 2025 for arraignments in two separate cases: 25-F-00145 & 25-F-00146. Both cases involve charges of Flagrant Nonsupport.
Wells was arrested on December 24, 2025 when the Berea Police Department executed two complaint warrants that had been obtained by the Jackson County Attorney, Ross Murray.
In case #25-F-00145, the County Attorney alleges that Wells unlawfully violated KRS 530.050 (2)(a) “Flagrant Nonsupport”. The complaint alleges that Wells failed to provide support, which he can reasonably provide and which he knew he had a duty to provide by virtue of a court or administrative order. This failure to provide support in IV-D#: 5883314 has resulted in an arrearage of child support of more than two thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500). Child support was ordered by the Jackson Family Court Court beginning on April 01, 2020 in the amount of $97.28 per month. Wells became $2,538.46 delinquent on November 30, 2022.
In case #25-F-00146, the County Attorney alleges that Wells unlawfully violated KRS 530.050 (2)(a) “Flagrant Nonsupport”. The complaint alleges that Wells failed to provide support, which he can reasonably provide and which he knew he had a duty to provide by virtue of a court or administrative order. This failure to provide support in IV-D#: 5834287 has resulted in an arrearage of child support of more than two thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500). Child support was ordered by the Jackson Family Court Court beginning on January 01, 2019 in the amount of $246 per month. Wells became $2,647.00 delinquent on December 31, 2019.
At his arraignments, Wells entered pleas of “not guilty’ to both charges. Wells waived days on both preliminary hearings, which were scheduled for January 26, 2026.
AS in all cases at this stage of adjudication, the charges are allegations and the defendant is presumed innocent until provided due process and determined to be guilty by the court.
