Denver Kelley Jr. known as “Junior” was born on June 26, 1962 and departed this life on Friday, January 23, 2026 at his residence in Gray Hawk. He is the son of the late Denver and Opal Mae (Edwards) Kelley.

In addition to his parents Junior was preceded in death by his brothers, Jack Kelley, Kenny Kelley and Wendell Kelley.
Denver was a man who could light up any room. He had a natural gift for putting a smile on everyone’s face and was known for his warmth, humor, and kind heart. Being around him meant laughter came easy and you always felt welcome.
Denver was a faithful member of Old Pathway Pentecostal Church, where his faith and fellowship were important parts of his life. He also enjoyed spending his time flea marketing and searching for antiques, always on the lookout for a unique treasure.
More than anything in this world, Denver loved his family. He was a proud and devoted father to his daughter, Katlyn, who was the center of his world. But one of his greatest joys in life was being a grandfather. His grandsons, Harlan and Lincoln, meant absolutely everything to him. He adored them beyond words and cherished every moment he got to spend with them. Being their “Papaw” was a role he treasured deeply, and his love for them was unconditional.
Denver’s memory will live on in the laughter he shared, the love he gave so freely, and especially in the hearts of the two little boys who brought so much light into his life.
Funeral Services for Junior will be held at 1 P.M. Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at the Lakes Funeral Home Bradshaw Chapel with Bro. Adam Eversole and Bro. Ted Eversole officiating. Burial will follow at the Pilgrams Rest Cemetery. Pallbearers include Charlie Scanlon, Dana Kelley, Trey Hanson, Adam Eversole, Brandon Kelley, and Harlan Baker. Honorary Pallbearer Lincoln Peters.
