Farris Gene Callahan Jr. was born September 4, 1974, in Madison County and departed this life Thursday, December 14, 2023, at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington, at the age of 49. He was the son of Violet (McCowan) Callahan of Berea and of the late Farris Callahan Sr.
In addition to his mother Junior is also survived by four children, Megan Jean Callahan, Corey Gene Callahan, Cody Ben Callahan and Derrick Joseph Callahan all of Berea. He is also survived by a brother, Randall Callahan of Berea. He was blessed with four grandchildren, Cadus Callahan, Carmon Callahan, Regan Callahan and Bentley Callahan.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 PM Sunday, December 17, 2023, at Lakes Funeral Home with Bro. Ardie Jacob Alexander officiating. Burial followed in the Pine Grove Cemetery. Lakes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. www.lakesfuneralhomemckee.com
