Rebecca J. Cunningham, 50, of Hopkinsville, KY appeared in District Court before Judge Henria Bailey-Lewis on Monday, December 29, 2025 for arraignments in two separate cases: 25-F-00142 & 25-F-00143. Both cases involved charges of flagrant nonsupport.
Cunningham was arrested when the Hopkinsville Police Department executed two complaint warrants obtained by Jackson County Attorney Ross Murray.
In case #25-F-00142, the County Attorney alleges that Cunningham unlawfully violated KRS 530.050 (2)(a) “Flagrant Nonsupport”. The complaint alleges that Cunningham failed to provide support, which she can reasonably provide and which she knew she had a duty to provide by virtue of a court or administrative order. This failure to provide support in IV-D#: 3895279 has resulted in an arrearage of child support of more than two thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500). Child support was ordered by the Madison District Court beginning on May 01, 2002 in the amount of $90 per month. The case was transferred to the Jackson Family Court on February 09, 2010, and Cunningham became $4,680 delinquent on January 18, 2007.
In case #25-F-00143, the County Attorney alleges that Cunningham unlawfully violated KRS 530.050 (2)(a) “Flagrant Nonsupport”. The complaint alleges that Cunningham failed to provide support, which she can reasonably provide and which she knew she had a duty to provide by virtue of a court or administrative order. This failure to provide support in IV-D#: 2691042 has resulted in an arrearage of child support of more than two thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500). Cunningham entered pleas of “not guilty” in both cases. She also waived days on her preliminary hearing. Preliminary hearings for both cases were scheduled for March 09, 2026.
