JCHS has been diligently focusing on attendance this 25-26 school year. We feel for students to learn and improve their educational talents they must first be present.
The first mid-term attendance percentage was led by our Juniors who received rewards of a movie and treats.
All Grades first mid-term 9th - 92%, 10th -93%, 11th - 94%, & 12th - 89%
As we move forward in the second half of the first nine weeks the Junior Class continues to lead the attendance % race.
Each week we put all students who have perfect attendance for the week into a spin wheel for rewards. Last weeks winner was Ella-Grace Salee
We had our first Ed Tech Innovators meeting. The JCPS Ed Tech Innovators during the 2025-2026 school year will be focusing on technology that can immediately be implemented into the classroom. During the meeting we learned about a few new Google Classroom Add-ons and Diffit and how to use these to enhance teaching. Diffit can be used to help meet the academic needs of our diverse learners (Bridgette McCowan shared this resource with us). The members from our high school include: Tonia Craft, Jeania Conn, Heather Madden, Lyndsey Hurst, Bridgette McCowan, Lauren Bingham and Paula Lunsford.
We hope to be able to share what we learn with fellow teachers during PLC or through collaboration.
Formal Senior Pictures and Fall Underclassmen Photos were taken last week. and proofs along with student ID Badges are expected to arrive within the next few weeks.
