This week’s JCHS Teacher of the Week is Shauna Coyle.
Ms. Coyle reported, “I’ve been blessed to teach biology at JCHS for 23 years, and it’s extra special to me because I am also a proud graduate of JCHS. Over the years, I’ve learned that while academics are important, the most meaningful part of teaching is building connections and being there for my students. Teaching has changed so much since I began, and I’ve seen incredible shifts in how we reach and engage today’s learners.
This year brings a big transition for me as I move into a new role as a school counselor at our middle school. I’m full of emotions—excited for this new chapter, but also deeply grateful for the years I’ve spent teaching here. My students mean the world to me, and our staff at JCHS will always feel like family. I look forward to continuing to support students in new ways as I begin this next journey in education.”
