JCPS District-Wide Athletic Director, Parker Stewart announced exciting news for “Little Generals”! Jackson County Boys’ Basketball will conduct the first-ever Youth Fall League for grades K-5th. The league will be available for K-5th grade boys from all county elementary schools: Sand Gap, Tyner, and McKee Elementary.
The evaluation date will be 6:30 PM on Tuesday, September 02nd at the JCHS Gymnasium.
K-2nd grade will 1 hour of skill development but will not have any formal games.
There will be a 3rd-4th Grade Division and a 5th Grade Division. There will be 8-10 players on each team.
There will be a “Player Draft” that will assign each player to a team on September 06th. The first practice will be conducted on the same day (Sept 06).
The training & games will be held every Saturday morning/afternoon.
The regular season games for the Youth Fall League will begin on September 13th and will end on October 11th (this will encompass 5 Saturdays). The Championship will be played on the following Saturday (October 18th).
The cost to participate will be $50 per player.
The JCHS Boys’ Basketball staff will appoint coaches.
