Michael D. McWhorter of Tyner passed away Tuesday October 13, 2026, at the Continuing Care Center in Corbin. He was born January 6, 1951, in London, Kentucky to the late Leo Elijah and Cleta Mae (Burch) McWhorter.
He is survived by his loving wife Glenda (Hacker) and his daughters Olivia McWhorter and Morgan McWhorter. He was blessed with two grandchildren Bethany (Dylan) Harrison and Robbie McWhorter and two great grandchildren Everleigh and Winston Harrison. Michael is also survived by his siblings Ronnie McWhorter and Debbie (Mike) Estridge.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Barbara Combs.
Michael was a member of the Green Hill Baptist Church.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 P.M. on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at the Lakes Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Morgan presiding. Burial will follow in the Holcomb Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Greg Combs, Joey Combs, Randy Taylor, Eric McWhorter, Dustin Estridge & Tony Hacker.
