Payton Simpson, 66 passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 16, 2024 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington, Ky. He was born on Wednesday, September 17,1958 in Laurel County, Kentucky to the late Rufas and Nannie Simpson.
He married Rosemary Durham Simpson, he had sons that he greatly loved, Jeffery, Goody, Donald, David and Elijah. Payton had a host of brothers and sisters living and deceased, who made a huge impact on his life. He had many nieces, nephews, cousins and grandchildren who was all loved dearly by him. To know Payton was to love him, from his strict old timey ways to his humor. He lived and adventurous life and loved to tell stories and reminisce on the past. Camping in his favorite town of Jackson County was favorite thing to do. He touched lives of everyone he met in the most positive ways.
A Graveside service for Payton will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at 1P.M. at the Pine Grove Cemetery, McKee with brother Herman Asher officiating. Lakes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. www.lakesfuneralhomemckee.com
