Sand Gap Elementary is Governor’s Cup District 93 Champions

For the first time in school history, Sand Gap Elementary came out on top of the District Governor’s Cup competition. They were led with first place finishes by their quick recall team, Haven Allen (Science) and Colton Tillery (Social Studies). They edged out McKee Elementary 38-35 in total points.

McKee was led by Junie Gabbard, who scored two first place finishes (Language Arts and English Composition).

Tyner Elementary finished a close third with 33 points, being led with first place finishes by Samuel Bowling (Math) and Ezekiel Lane (Arts and Humanities).

Congratulations to Sand Gap Elementary for their victory! Thanks to all the students for participating and all the volunteers for assisting in the event.
