Vernie (Lainhart) Howard was born April 12, 1950 in Sand Gap, KY and passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, at the age of 75. She was the daughter of the late Willard & Laura (Abner) Lainhart.
Vernie is survived by her son, Jason Howard of Richmond, KY and by one brother, Kenny D. Lainhart of Gray Hawk, KY.
In addition to her parents, Vernie was also preceded in death one son, Louis Howard and by the following siblings, Carl Lainhart, James Lainhart, Willard Lainhart Jr., Louise White, Lois Fowler, Mable Tipton, Mafrie Lainhart and Inus Lainhart.
Funeral services for Vernie will be held at 1 P.M. Saturday, August 2, 2025 with Bro. Wayne Carpenter presiding. Burial will follow in the Abner Cemetery on Chestnut Flat Road. A visitation will begin at 11 A.M. at the Lakes Funeral Home in McKee.
